F.A.Q. - Hydraulic pumps

My 892D/E or 790D hydraulic pump is dragging my engine down or stalling it out.

  1. The horsepower adjustment is set to high

My 892D/E or 790D tracks are running out of synch with each other.

  1. Check track time on each side to determine which side is out and make a horsepower adjustment on the pump that operates the out of time track.

My 992E hydraulic pump produces low flow but the rotating group is good.

  1. Swash plate cradles are worn and not getting a good seal.

My propel and swing motors have consecutive blown shaft seals.

  1. Clogged case drain line
  2. Pressure relief malfunctioning

My 790E hydraulic pump will not fully swash or stays in full swash and will not de-stroke.

  1. Angle sensor is out of adjustment
  2. Solenoid valve is bad
  3. Speed sensor is bad or has broken leads

I have a rebuilt rotary manifold but it is leaking.

  1. Make sure the pane is clean of all residual oil from previous failure
  2. Check all lines and fittings

The housing on my swing motor is cracked in around the head bolt holes.

  1. Clogged case drain line
  2. Pressure relief malfunctioning

My swing motor does not operate.

  1. Pilot circuit malfunction
  2. Swing brake release valve malfunction
  3. mechanical failure of swing motor or gearbox

My swing motor does not stop.

  1. Brake disk worn
  2. Brake valve malfunction
  3. Pilot circuit malfunction

My hydraulic oil is over heating

  1. Low oil level
  2. Plugged oil cooler
  3. Oil viscosity too low
  4. Pump stuck in full stroke
